For the past 4 years, Mrs. Keblusek has read the book Wonder by RJ Palacio to her class. Every year she made a promise; If the movie ever came out she would go with her students.
On Thursday, December 7th at 5:00pm the promise she made became a reality. Mrs. Keblusek made arrangements at the AMC theater in Crestwood and rented out an entire theater space for the production. Students from 5th grade through 8th grade came out to see the movie.
“The place was packed with students and families that I haven’t seen in years. I was so happy to see that this book still means so much to my students. They are truly living their lives choosing kind. Wonder will be something that I share with my students for years to come,” said Keblusek.
A “WONDERful” time was had by all.
“Several parents said that the ‘movie was amazing’. They were all thankful for the experience and happy to share this with their kids as well as with me,” she said.
